An anti-Trump protest held the day before Saturday’s Alabama-LSU football game drew a tiny, motley crew of 10 dejected leftists.
In contrast, President Trump was greeted like a rock star by an enthusiastic crowd of fans at the football game in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, yesterday.

Tori Jones, a student at the University of Alabama, organized the anti-Trump protest. Jones claims that the president’s visit would put “all of our student body at risk.”
According to AL.com, 10 students showed up to the protest. They held signs that read “Love Trumps Hate,” “No Jobs on a Dead Planet,” “Resist,” “Impeach,” “Trump is Racist,” “Hate Not Welcome,” and “I Hate Trump More than Auburn.”
Jones and the Student Civil Justice Coalition staged a sit-in on the steps of the school library on Friday.

Despite the tiny group the protest drew, Tori Jones claimed her event was a success.
“It went pretty well,” Jones told AL.com. “There were maybe three people who yelled out ‘Trump 2020!’ but most of the people were there taking pictures of us or giving us vocal support.”

Below is Jones’ statement on behalf of the Student Civil Justice Coalition:
“I organized this sit-in to protest the arrival of Donald Trump to our university. Trump gave the University of Alabama little notice he was coming, putting all of our student body at risk. Moreover, Donald Trump also brings with him a culture of systemic racism.
While systemic racism exists at the University of Alabama, Trump only exacerbates the problem. The SCJC and I did not feel as though we should stand back and do nothing as this man came to our campus. This sit-in was to demonstrate not only our discontentment with Trump, but also our discontentment with the culture at UA that allows him to feel comfortable coming here at all.”
Meanwhile, raucous applause and cheers rained down on President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump from an excited crowd of 100,000 football fans during the Alabama-Louisiana State University game.

President Trump is extremely popular in Alabama. In a stunning turn of events, CNN aired an interview during which a black man told the leftist cable network that Trump is being treated very unfairly.
“When the man tries to help the country and you instead try to find a situation to throw out his character [that’s wrong],” the man said. “Ain’t no perfect president because everybody [has] their cause, but I think he’s been treated unfairly.”
Another Alabama football fan — a woman this time — echoed the previous commenter’s sentiments.
“I think [the impeachment] is ridiculous. It’s unfair,” she said. “I wish they would focus on getting stuff done instead of harassing the president.”
Meanwhile, here are some other crowd reactions from the LSU-Alabama game.
