Illegal accused of abusing, pushing, kicking, impregnating 16-year-old in Louisiana

A man residing in the U.S. illegally has been arrested and charged with beating a 16-year-old girl who was also pregnant by him.

The 36-year-old illegal alien, who repeatedly skipped out on immigration-related court hearings, was charged last week by officials of Livingston Parish, Louisiana for beating the girl until she was unconscious, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The teenager was taken to a local hospital for treatment after the incident and spoke with detectives while she was there.

“‘The teen advised deputies that she was pregnant,” the press release from the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office read.

“She shared that she was abused, pushed and kicked,” it continued. “She told deputies she lost consciousness” and she was eventually “able to lead us to a potential suspect.”

That suspect was Antonio Ical-Quip, a man who “told detectives there was an argument between himself and the teen on September 19, 2019.”

Ical-Quip reportedly “admitted to a romantic relationship” with the minor and was charged with carnal knowledge of a juvenile and domestic abuse battery.

The United States Border Patrol informed investigators that the suspect first entered the United States in April 2018 posing as a “family unit” with a juvenile child. Though he was released pending immigration hearings about his status, Ical-Quip never appeared at any court dates.

“This arrest is a great example of the working relationship between the outstanding Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and the New Orleans Border Patrol Sector, to arrest and remove dangerous criminals from our community,” U.S. Border Patrol New Orleans Sector Deputy Chief Patrol Agent Michael Harrison said.

“An immigration hold has been placed on Ical-Quip,” the sheriff’s office noted.

The decades-old Flores Settlement Agreement mandated that after 20 days under federal immigration detention, families would have to be released into the U.S. or else the illegal alien children would have to be separated. The Trump administration sought to impose a new rule amending that ruling and thereby ending the child separation policy begun under former President Obama’s watch.

The new rule, announced in August, set off a lawsuit by 19 states and the District of Columbia arguing that the Trump administration was planning to hold migrants in “indefinite detention” and effectively tying up the legislation in federal court while men like Ical-Quip roam free.

Former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Tom Homan blasted the critics spreading “false narratives” about the administration’s efforts during a Fox News interview in August.

“They don’t want the president to succeed in securing this border. They want this to be a political warfare for 2020,” he said.

While the left continues to beat the drum for open borders, U.S. Border Patrol agents have repeatedly apprehended criminals trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border illegally. Last month, agents arrested a previously deported child rapist and a man wanted for murder in his own country.

One 37-year-old Mexican national was found to have an active warrant in Washington for the rape of a child and further background checks revealed that he was already removed from the United States twice, the second deportation after his felony conviction.

Twitter users weighed in on the report of Ical-Quip’s arrest with many demanding to know when lawmakers would finally act in the interest of Americans.
