It took her a little while to react, but Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was fired up about Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s vow to protect America from socialist legislation.
The New York congresswoman and self-described democratic socialist took exception to McConnell’s rather colorful promise and for calling everything “socialist legislation.”

“If I’m still the majority leader of the Senate, think of me as the Grim Reaper. None of that stuff is going to pass. None of it,” McConnell said at an event in Owensboro, Kentucky earlier this week as he addressed Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal.”

He argued that the freshman congresswoman was not the only Democrat with radical ideas.
“I don’t want you to think it’s just a 28-year-old congresswoman from New York,” he explained.
“This is much broader than that. I’ve got five colleagues in the Senate, five colleagues running for president, who have signed on to the Green New Deal and Medicare For All,” he added. “I don’t want you to think this is just a couple of nutcases running around on the fringe. This is pervasive policy view on the other side. … Are we going to turn this into a socialist country? Don’t assume it cannot happen.”
A few days later, Ocasio-Cortez fired off a defiant tweet in response, and proved once again that one must ‘think before they tweet.’
Step 1: Call yourself the “Grim Reaper for socialist legislation”
Step 2: Call anything + everything “socialist legislation”
Step 3: Profit…

The progressive lawmaker left many scratching their heads over her comments.

Republicans love profiting off poisoned water. You caught us! I am disappointed but impressed.

1. Call your self a socialist because you don’t know how economics work.
2. Call old white democratic men Republican because your racist.
3. Call for amazon to stop making 25,000 jobs because you don’t how how tax break vs tax income work.
That’s just 3 reason to resign

Step 1: AOC pretends to be intelligent Step 2. AOC says something stupid. STEP 3: AOC cries being a victim * Fixed it!

McConnell was apparently trolling Ocasio-Cortez whose Green New Deal, which promises a guaranteed job, free education, free healthcare and free housing, while calling for shifting the country to 100 percent clean and renewable energy, has been supported by the 2020 Democratic presidential contenders.
But, missing the point – as the left often does – progressives like Ocasio-Cortez believe their proposals are such a benefit that they have to be forced on Americans through legislation.
Or maybe he thinks that your programs will lead to mass poverty and actually hurt all the people you claim to want to help. What is with you guys always assuming that people who disagree with you have the worst intentions?

What part of “America will never be a Socialist country” do you fail to understand? Go peddle that crap somewhere else no one is buying it.

You rookies do realize that you were elected to actually get something done? Constant bitching and alienating the other side leads to failure for us all.

Step 1- pose as a candidate “for the people”
Step 2- prevent a global business from coming to your town, killing thousands of jobs and billions from potential tax revenue
Step 3- Celebrate killing those jobs & tell constituents it’s for their own good & that you know better.— Hollie Grimes (@aisnabi24) April 26, 2019
