In a blistering tweet posted Sunday morning, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee unapologetically excoriated The Washington Post for shamelessly attempting to tie the recent acts of terrorism across America to President Donald Trump.
“Is there any tragedy the Washington Post won’t exploit to attack President @realDonaldTrump?” she bluntly wrote in a tweet that contained a snapshot of Sunday’s paper.
“The evil act of anti-Semitism in Pittsburg was committed by a coward who hated President Trump because @POTUS is such an unapologetic defender of the Jewish community and state of Israel.”

Seen in the photo above, the Post’s headlines read as follows: “Trump Allies Set The Tone For The Violence They Denounce, Critics Say” and “Bomb Suspect Found An Inspiration In Trump.”
What Sanders wrote in contrast to these headlines were facts, something neither the Post nor its allies in the media seem to care much for, as evidenced by their rush to tie the actions of suspected package bomber Cesar Sayoc and suspected synagogue shooter Robert Bowers to Trump.
Despite their false portrayal of Bowers as a right-leaning fanatic, for instance, the evidence makes clear that his views — particularly those on the Jewish people, whom he hates — align far more closely with the Democrat Party and its virulently antisemitic allies.
And despite their false portrayal of Sayoc as someone who’d suddenly been inspired to violence by the president’s words, the facts show he’s been committing crime for decades. Sixteen years ago he reportedly threatened to detonate a bomb that he claimed would be “worse than September 11.”
Multiple reports indicating Sayoc has lengthy criminal history, back to 1991, including larceny & fraud. Arrest in 2002 for bomb threat. A career criminal. Will that stop legacy media from blaming Trump & ignoring his calls for unity? ??♀️

These facts have all been ignored by the media. So have the near limitless examples of left-wing media personalities and Democrat Party politicians spewing hateful rhetoric and in some cases directly calling for their constituents to harass their political opponents, i.e. conservatives.
The hypocrisy was not lost on Joe Concho of the Hill, who highlighted it Friday on Fox.
“You can’t have it both ways and say President Trump’s rhetoric is triggering people to incite violence and then ignore Maxine Waters or Cory Booker or Eric Holder or anybody who’s said, ‘Get up in people’s faces, run them out of restaurants, tell them they’re not welcome and kick them.’ You cannot have it both ways,” he said in the clip below:
Suppose for the sake of argument though that perhaps the media is right and the Republican base is indeed brimming with rage against Democrats and their media allies. Is Trump to blame? To answer that question, you might want to consider first answering these questions:
Is Trump the one who’s labeled roughly half of the American people “deplorables,” “racists,” “Nazis” and “fascists?” Is Trump the one who’s called for the other half of the American people to divorce themselves from the “deplorable” half?
Is Trump the one who’s suggested that it’s perfectly acceptable for left-wing activists to harass and assault conservatives? And is Trump the one who’s kicked pro-life activists in the face, snatched MAGA hats from teens and robbed defenseless women?
The answer to these questions is a resounding no. But does the answer even matter to the media? Probably not. This is, after all, the same media that didn’t publish a single negative word about then-President Barack Hussein Obama during the 14 mass shootings that occurred while he was in office.
Ever since Trump’s election to the White House by nearly 63 million Americans, the Trump Derangement Syndrome-afflicted media has lost sight of the facts, instead preferring to mar every allegedly unbiased “report” with anti-Trump venom so glaring even the blind can see it.
Plus those on social media, of course:
You are 100% right. It is truly disgusting and horrific how the media continues to sink so low. Its so apparent to anyone with a quarter of a working brain how evil the media can be and how they cause so much division in our country.

It’s truly disgusting what some of the so called journalists and media outlets communicate to the people. Even with a tragedy like this, they can’t let go of their hate and bigotry.
— Dan Olson (@DanTheManOlson) October 28, 2018
The media is disgusting

It is disgusting. And they wonder why we hate the media.

Further proof that WAPO is a tabloid news outlet like the NYT. They are both disgusting examples of media bias and a disgrace to journalism. Worthless.
— Joe D Skeith (@joe_skeith) October 28, 2018
The public is really sick & tired of certain media outlets placing blame at the feet of the president. This has to stop. It’s an insult to basic intelligence and making folks very angry.
— Uranium Covfefe (@zoochum) October 28, 2018
The media is sick. It’s obvious how desperate they are.
— Chaska ?? (@ChaskaDaisy) October 28, 2018
@washingtonpost Yet, these sick, twisted people take offense when they are called the enemy of the people and say the president has to tone down his rhetoric. Go figure. Disgusting and pathetic!
