FBI shakeup sees Comey-era chief of staff OUT, new ‘government investigations’ expert IN

FBI chief of staff James Rybicki is on the way out on the heels of a slew of controversies that have damaged the bureau’s public perception.

“Jim Rybicki notified me last month that he will be leaving the FBI to accept an opportunity in the corporate sector. While this is an exciting move for the whole Rybicki family, Jim will be dearly missed by the FBI family – and by me personally,” Wray said in a statement to the Washington Examiner.

The incoming FBI chief of staff is reported to be Zachary Harmon, a high-powered attorney at D.C. firm King & Spaulding. Harmon is a specialty in “government investigations and regulatory enforcement proceedings.”

The news comes as a series of damaging texts exchanged between former Mueller investigator Pete Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page have recently made their way into the limelight.

One of Strzok’s texts allegedly showed that Strzok thought there was “no big there there” while hesitating to join the Russian probe team, while other texts show Strzok and Page discussing a “secret society” to oppose incoming President Trump after his election.
