Some Indianapolis football fans may be able to get a refund for their NFL tickets if Colts players refuse to stand for the national anthem.
That’s what Republican Milo Smith, a state congressman, is proposing with a bill that would allow Colts fans to get their money back if they’re offended by players disrespecting the national anthem.
“To me, when they take a knee during the national anthem, it’s not respecting the national anthem or our country,” Smith told the Indianapolis Star. “Our government isn’t perfect, but it’s still the best country in the world. And I think we need to be respectful of it.”
While liberals slammed Smith’s proposal as unconstitutional, he pointed out that the proposed law wouldn’t stop NFL players from kneeling. It would simply allow the Colts to give refunds to fans who want their money back. Moreover, the bill doesn’t require refunds if the opposing team protests the Star-Spangled Banner.
The proposed legislation comes two months after Vice President Mike Pence walked out of a Colts game after opposing team players from the San Francisco 49ers refused to stand during the national anthem.
“I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem,” Pence tweeted.
I left today's Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.

Meanwhile, the NFL has been ruined by the ongoing anthem protests. TV ratings and revenues have cratered, while fan approval of the National Football League has plunged.
Millions of fans have turned off their TV sets and canceled their game tickets to protest the league’s disrespect of the national anthem.

Unemployed quarterback Colin Kaepernick launched the anthem protest in August 2016, when he hijacked football games by refusing to stand for the Star-Spangled Banner.
Other players later joined the protest, which has decimated the NFL’s popularity. Fans disgusted by the injection of liberal politics into their leisure time have now boycotted the league in droves.
Kaepernick claimed he stopped standing for the anthem to protest police brutality against black men. But he did nothing when blacks were killed by cops (both black and white) during Barack Obama’s eight-year presidency.
While Kaepernick has been lionized by the left for his “political activism,” in reality, he does not even bother to vote, and says nothing about the countless black-on-black murders that occur every day across the United States.
