Former FBI director James Comey will reportedly be testifying publicly to confirm bombshell reports about President Trump according to an unnamed CNN source.
The network reported Wednesday that a source “close to the issue” has revealed that the fired FBI chief could appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee as early as next week to testify on allegations that Trump asked him to back off the investigation of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

Apparently, Comey has already met with Special Counsel Robert Mueller privately so as to work out the limits of his testimony and its legalities, according to CNN.
“When he testifies, Comey is unlikely to be willing to discuss in any detail the FBI’s investigation into the charges of possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign,” CNN reported. “But he appears eager to discuss his tense interactions with Trump before his firing, which have now spurred allegations that the president may have tried to obstruct the investigation.”
Following Trump’s firing of Comey, reports have surfaced about the president allegedly asking the former FBI Director to drop the ongoing Flynn investigation and asking him for a pledge of loyalty.
“The bottom line is he’s going to testify,” CNN’s unnamed source said. “He’s happy to testify, and he’s happy to cooperate.”
