Pot, meet kettle.
The Kremlin issued a statement Friday describing the U.S.’s missile strike against a Syrian military air base as an “act of aggression.”
After invading the Crimean peninsula and saber-rattling in the Baltic states, Russia should know something about aggression.

Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s use of chemical warfare against his own people Tuesday was little more than “far-fetched pretext” for Thursday’s military action.
Shep quick to slap up old tweets to try and shame Trump, promptly gets spanked by a general instead
“Washington’s move deals a significant blow to the Russia-U.S. relations, which are already in a deplorable shape,” a Putin spokesman said, according to The Hill.
President Donald Trump approved the launch of 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at the Shayrat airfield Thursday in response to Syria’s Sarin-like nerve agent attack that killed scores of Syrian citizens.
Russian Federation Council defense committee chairman Viktor Ozerov claimed that the missile attack could endanger the future of joint U.S.-Russian military operations, including the two countries’ efforts to defeat Islamic State terrorists.
“This could eliminate the ongoing cooperation between Russian and U.S. forces in Syria,” he said. “The U.S. rocket strike could tank the effort to combat terrorism in Syria.”
Konstantin Kosachev, an Ozerov colleague on the Federation Council, echoed his sentiments.
“Either way, Russian missiles continue to target terrorists while the American rockets hit government forces that spearhead the effort against terrorists,” Kosachev said.
“I am afraid that with such an approach the desired Russo-American anti-terrorist coalition in Syria — that has so frequently been discussed since [President] Trump came to power — will not come to fruition,” he added.
Twitter users saw right through Russia’s hypocrisy.

Putin’s condemnation of the president could finally help put to rest the unfounded charges that Russia had colluded with Trump to help him secure the election.
@thehill Let’s see what they DO. This is TOO PERFECT for Trump. It COULD NOT come at a better time for him. I don’t believe in coincidences.

Retired Army Gen. Jack Keane applauded the strike, and said it sent a clear and unmistakable message to friend and foe alike throughout the world that the United States is back.
Most on the left condemned the action and even went after CNN for the inkling of support it gave for the operation.

Surprisingly, Senate and House minority leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi came out in support of the strike.
