Another day, another lib implosion. Actress Bette Midler made a fool of herself yet again after her attempt to fact-check President Trump’s comments about Chicago shootings blew up in her face.
Midler tweeted: “Trump says that 4,000 people were shot in Chicago in 2016. Chicago Tribune says 2016 ended with 762 homicides.”
Midler, who’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, obviously didn’t realize that you can be shot and not die.

Trump’s exact words from his first joint address before Congress were: “In Chicago, more than 4,000 people were shot last year alone. And the murder rate so far this year has been even higher.”
According to the Chicago Tribune, the president correctly stated the number of shootings in Chicago in 2016. He was also correct in saying that 2017 is on track to be even worse.
In January, Trump expressed outrage over Chicago’s record homicide rate, and said if Mayor Rahm Emanuel can’t handle it, he should ask for federal help.
Emanuel has been widely slammed for his impotence in curbing crime in Chicago, which has had a Democratic mayor since 1927.
While Chicago is the nation’s third-largest city, it had more homicides in 2016 than New York and Los Angeles combined. Chicago’s murder rate is higher than it has been in 20 years.

Twitter let Bette Midler have it over her failed take-down and her unending stream of anti-Trump comments.
One person tweeted: “Dear moron, shot = “shot.” Homicide = “shot and KILLED.” So who’s the idiot now?”
They were shot and lived, unlike the poor 762. FFS, do you think before you tweet?

With her loose handle on the facts, one tweep said Midler has a promising career at Fake News CNN.
There’s an opening at CNN in case she’s interested

Others thanked libs like Midler for her continued idiocy, which will ensure Trump a second term.
Thanks for being a part of the Trump 2020 team! Keep up the good work! @kaitlen @BetteMidler
