Trump mocks ‘washed-up psycho’ Bette Midler’s forced apology, calling her ‘a sick scammer’

Singer Bette Midler apologized for pushing a fake quote attributed to President Trump in a bid to undermine him. But in the end, she only wound up discrediting herself.

The brouhaha erupted after Midler gleefully promoted a fake meme claiming that Trump had said the following to People magazine back in 1998:

“If I were to run, I’d run as a Republican. They’re the dumbest group of voters in the country. They believe anything on Fox News. I could lie and they’d still eat it up. I bet my numbers would be terrific.”

Flashback: Remember in 2011, when Midler wanted Trump to run for president? (this is a real tweet.)

Midler humiliates herself while trying to discredit Trump

For the record, Trump never said that. It was a meme that circulated during the 2016 election cycle to turn Republicans against Trump. He won anyway — despite vocal opposition from RINOs like Mitt Romney and John McCain.

After being brutally mocked on Twitter for her ignorance and desperation to attack President Trump, Midler issued a semi-apology, saying: “I apologize; this quote turns out to be a fake from way back in 2015-16. Don’t know how I missed it, but it sounds SO much like him that I believed it was true!”

Trump: Bette Midler is a ‘washed-up psycho’ and ‘sick scammer’

Naturally, President Trump fired back at Midler on Twitter, where he torpedoed the former lounge singer as a “washed-up psycho” and a “sick scammer.”

The president tweeted: “Washed-up psycho Bette Midler was forced to apologize for a statement she attributed to me that turned out to be totally fabricated by her in order to make “your great president” look really bad. She got caught, just like the Fake News Media gets caught. A sick scammer!”

Trump was reacting to Midler’s vulgar tweet that read: “Donald, if you’re reading this you SHOULD NOT slam your d*ck in a door!”  (Hopefully Bette won’t slam hers in the door, either.)

Midler has repeatedly attacked Trump and his family

If President Trump sounds annoyed, it’s because Midler has repeatedly attacked him, Ivanka, and Melania and pushed other fake news in a bid to undermine him.

As BizPac Review reported, Midler made a fool of herself after her attempt to fact-check President Trump’s comments about Chicago shootings blew up in her face.

Midler tweeted in March 2017: “Trump says that 4,000 people were shot in Chicago in 2016. Chicago Tribune says 2016 ended with 762 homicides.” The obtuse Midler obviously didn’t realize that you can be shot and not die.

Trump’s exact words were: “In Chicago, more than 4,000 people were shot last year alone. And the murder rate so far this year has been even higher.”

According to the liberal Chicago Tribune, the president correctly stated the number of shootings in Chicago in 2016. He was also correct in saying that 2017 was on track to be even worse.

Bidler: ‘Men and religion are worthless’

Three months later — in June 2017 — Midler slammed men and religion as “worthless” while attempting to excuse the London Bridge terrorist attack that left seven people. ISIS later claimed responsibility for that attack.

Bette was blasted by both women and men for her anti-male salvo, and for glossing over the fact that Islamist terrorist attacks are committed by Muslims, who follow the “religion of peace.”

Obviously, Midler trashed all religions as worthless because she was too afraid to call out Islam by name.

Dems triggered because polls predict Trump landslide

In reality, what really has leftist moonbats like Midler triggered is that President Trump is almost a shoe-in to win re-election in 2020.

Even former Obama administration officials like Steven Rattner are begrudgingly conceding that Trump will easily win (see video).

How pathetically weak are the Democratic Party’s candidates when they can’t defeat Trump despite having the media, the entire Democratic Party, half the Republican Party, billionaire mega-donors, Hollywood, and the Deep State fighting against him?
