A Secret Service agent is under fire after vowing she will not do the job that taxpayers pay her do to do.
Kerry O’Grady, the special agent in charge of the Secret Service’s Denver district, is being slammed after writing on Facebook that she won’t “take a bullet” for President Trump.
O’Grady made the statements in an inane Facebook post in October 2016. O’Grady, a vocal Hillary Clinton supporter, has since been placed on paid administrative leave.
In her since-deleted Facebook post, O’Grady referenced the Hatch Act, which bars Secret Service agents from posting partisan political comments on social media, or advocating for or against any political candidates or parties.
O’Grady basically said she’d rather go to jail than defend President Trump because she thinks he is a “disaster to this country.”
As a public servant for nearly 23 years, I struggle not to violate the Hatch Act. So I keep quiet and skirt the median. To do otherwise can be a criminal offense for those in my position. Despite the fact that I am expected to take a bullet for both sides.
But this world has changed and I have changed. And I would take jail time over a bullet or an endorsement for what I believe to be disaster to this country and the strong and amazing women and minorities who reside here. Hatch Act be damned. I am with Her.
O’Grady told the Washington Examiner that she deleted the post a few days after she wrote it, and claimed that she wants to serve President Trump.

“I firmly believe in this job,” O’Grady said. “I’m proud to do it and we serve the office of the president.”
However, O’Grady’s past social media footprints (which she has since deleted) reveal she has a long history of making anti-Trump statements that cast doubt on her ability to do her job objectively.
The Secret Service has since announced that it placed O’Grady on paid administrative leave.
Meanwhile, Twitter reacted by saying it’s time for Kerry O’Grady to find a new job.
