Pssst, Kettle! … It’s Pot.
In yet another display of mainstream media hypocrisy, reporters lashed out at President-elect Donald Trump, claiming he ditched the press pool to enjoy a private family dinner (the tyrant!).
The faux controversy erupted after Bloomberg reporter Taylor Riggs, who happened to be at the 21 Club, tweeted a photo of Trump and his family arriving at the tony Manhattan restaurant.
By that point, many of the reporters covering Trump had gone home for the day after spokeswoman Hope Hicks told them at 6:14 pm that the president-elect would be staying in for the night, Politico reported.
Once the press saw the photo of Trump at the 21 Club, a slew of reporters — including CNN’s Sara Murray and the Huffington Post’s Sam Stein — slammed Trump for ditching the press, saying he’s not being transparent.
This is “not a normal situation,” CNN’s Murray whined on camera. “It appears to be yet another misunderstanding of exactly how much gravity his new title as president-elect holds.”

The reporters became even more triggered when they arrived at the 21 Club and found the restaurant had been barricaded by police, and most of the press pool was not allowed in.
While the media criticized Trump for not being transparent, perhaps they’re just upset at not being included in secret dinners like they were with Hillary Clinton.
Wikileaks email dumps showed liberal media outlets like CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times, and the Washington Post enjoyed a cozy relationship with the Clinton camp, and were invited to secret dinners where they apparently colluded on pro-Clinton press coverage.
Members of Donald Trump’s camp, conservative media, and Republican Party officials were not invited to these secret press gatherings. And the public would never have found out about Hillary Clinton’s army of “friendly reporters” had it not been for Wikileaks email dumps.
Some members of the media, including reporters for Politico and the Huffington Post, even ran their stories past the Clinton camp for approval before publication.
But these media are throwing a fit that Trump is not being “transparent” because he wanted to enjoy a family dinner without the press tagging along.
I guess Trump should send out a press release the next time he has to go to the bathroom.
