Money, 15 minutes of fame, or both?
The woman who claimed Donald Trump raped her at age 13 has abruptly dropped her lawsuit amid revelations her story was a hoax.
The woman, who filed her lawsuit under the name “Katie Johnson,” has a troubled history riddled with drug abuse, financial woes and legal problems, including two DUIs and felony drug possession.
“Ultimately it was discovered that Donald Trump’s name had been inserted into this, he was not involved whatsoever,” sources told the Daily Mail. “After that, she had no credibility.”
The controversy erupted in April 2016, when “Katie Johnson” came forward with shocking accusations that Trump had raped her when she was 13 years old at a sex party hosted by billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
At the time, Trump’s team called the allegations “disgusting at the highest level,” and dismissed them as a politically motivated hoax.
Not surprisingly, Hillary Clinton‘s camp seized on the story in a bid to deflect attention away from Bill Clinton‘s own sordid history of alleged sexual assaults.
Last Wednesday, Katie Johnson abruptly canceled a packed press conference where she was set to reveal her true identity. Two days later, Johnson dropped the lawsuit.
While pro-Clinton Twitter users floated a conspiracy theory that Johnson had been paid off by Trump or caved into threats from his supporters, the Daily Mail said the real reason Johnson dropped her lawsuit was because her rape claims were false.
The Daily Mail spoke with Johnson shortly before she dropped the suit. The former real estate worker is unemployed due to spinal surgery and lives off disability welfare.
Last week, Hillary Clinton (who’s all too familiar with rape accusations) exploded at a heckler who yelled “Bill Clinton is a rapist!” during her rally in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Clinton and her surrogates have been confronted with “Bill Clinton is a rapist” taunts throughout the campaign, as protesters remind millennial voters that Bill was accused of sexually assaulting or raping numerous women as his wife allegedly tried to bully them into silence.
Juanita Broaddrick, a former nurse who accused Bill Clinton of raping her in 1978, slammed Hillary as a fake feminist who does not support women.
Broaddrick said Hillary Clinton threatened her when she first came forward with her rape allegations decades ago. Broaddrick, now 73, says Clinton scares her to this day.
