Chelsea Clinton misses daughter’s first day at school — and it doesn’t go unnoticed

In the Clinton clan, family takes a distant second to politics — especially when the chance to once again take up residence at the White House is at stake.

Chelsea Clinton missed her daughter’s first day at pre-school — a time filled with anticipation and excitement for the girl — in order to host a North Carolina campaign event for her mother, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Instead, husband and hedge fund manager Marc Mezvinsky was spotted taking the couple’s daughter Charlotte to her first day of school. Well, actually, he was seen fiddling with his phone while the nanny wheeled the nearly-two-year-old to the building.

Interestingly enough, Chelsea’s mother once wrote a book titled, “It Takes A Village,” which proposed that an entire dedicated community is required to properly raise a child.

In Clintons’ case, however, it takes an absentee mother, a distracted father, a nanny and a pre-school teacher.
