Jeanine Pirro discovers massive unmarked federal storage room full of boxes, equipment

Jeanine Pirro, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, posted a video to X after discovering a “massive unmarked storage room.”

In the caption of the video, Pirro condemned the waste and vowed to “make sure some of it is returned to the taxpayers,” alongside a video revealing what is in some of the boxes.

Watch:

“Here I am in front of an unnamed room, there’s nothing on the door,” she said, pointing to the plain white door behind her. “Come on in. As you can see, this isn’t a room, it is a massive, massive, basement storage facility.”

Moving over to a pile of boxes, she pulls out a knife and goes to work.

“There are at least 50 boxes here. These are publicly owned. Now I’m going to open it, “she said, tearing into the cardboard box in front of her. “And they all contain the same thing. These are lamps. When public items that are purchased with taxpayers’ dollars are no longer used, you don’t throw them away and put them in the basement, you sell them. There is a whole process to do this. And even if you only make pennies  on the dollar, at least the American taxpayer gets some benefit from it.”

“But that’s not happening here in DC,” Pirro continued, moving over ot a stack of unused laptops. “There are well over 1,000 computers. Don’t let them sit here and rot, sell them. Give them away. Do something! I bet there are 2,000 computers here.”
