ID required: There are stricter standards for the Obama library than for voting

Presidential-level hypocrisy came courtesy of Chicago’s costly eyesore as the sanctuary city’s newest attraction included a telling caveat regarding its grand opening.

It may be true that certain legislators on the right have been far from accommodating when it comes to the passage of voter ID laws, but the reality remains that the left has been in lockstep opposition to the SAVE America Act. This includes former President Barack Obama, whose presidential library is set to open in June where a lucky winner will be selected to attend so long as they can prove they’re in the country legally.

Discussing the grand opening promotion on “Saturday in America,” Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany said, “We all know that Obama has a big, beautiful presidential library coming — make your own opinions — but when you look at the requirements for the opening of that library, it says, ‘Promotion open only to U.S. citizens, or lawful permanent U.S. residents who are legal residents of the 50 United States …'”

“Why do we have stricter standards for the Obama library than for voting?” she asked her guest, Texas Rep. Brandon Gill (R).

“Well, because Democrats would like to allow non-citizens to vote in American elections,” he began. “That’s a core part of their long-term political strategy is flooding the country with illegal aliens, trying to give them amnesty so they can vote for Democrats, and, in the meantime, having open election systems in trying to get these illegals to vote for Democrats as much as they possibly can.”

“Remember, it only takes a few fraudulent votes in key swing states and key swing districts to swing even a presidential election. So the stakes couldn’t be higher, and that’s why we have to fight for this legislation. We’ve got to take it seriously,” added the congressman.

Prior to getting exposed for hypocrisy via his own presidential library, Obama’s push against voter ID laws and safeguards to prevent illegal aliens from voting found him rising in opposition, posting on social media, “Republicans are still trying to pass the SAVE Act–a bill that would make it harder to vote and disenfranchise millions of Americans.”

Aside from the fact that locals in Chicago were being disenfranchised in their own community by the library over expected increased costs in the neighborhood, the chief executive behind “hope and change” was readily called out by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt for showing his own driver’s license when voting in a past election.

So it was that the criticism poured in for Obama as his library proved “stricter on who can win tickets to the opening … than Democrats are on voting,” as commentator Ben Ferguson put it.

“The hypocrisy,” as another user put it, “is thick with this one.”
