Jennifer Siebel Newsom’s parenting tips as cringeworthy as you’d expect: ‘She’s worse than him!’

California First Lady Jennifer Siebel Newsom offered up some parenting tips recently that are every bit as cringeworthy as you’d expect them to be.

Siebel Newsom, who once dated actor George Clooney and accused sexual predator Harvey Weinstein of raping her, shares four children with Gov. Gavin Newsom, and her idea of raising boys includes giving them dolls and changing the pronouns of male heroes in storybooks.

“I have really been intentional about raising my boys to understand that caregiving is a male responsibility,” Siebel Newsom smugly shared. “So, for example, giving them dolls when they’re little so that they understand that they are, you know, caregivers too.”

“And then changing pronouns in books, so that the protagonist of the story is a female, so that my boys grow up seeing women as protagonists, and seeing women as leaders, and seeing women as heroes in stories,” she added.

The Newsoms have two boys and two girls, with the first child, a daughter, being born in 2009.

Gavin Newsom, who was at his mother’s side as she died by physician-assisted suicide before it was legal in California, after suffering from breast cancer, publicly stated in 2007 that he would seek help for issues with alcohol after having an affair with his campaign manager’s wife, may have his own issues when it comes to raising children.

(He later claimed that he never actually entered rehab.)

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
