Mich. Dem Sen tells press DHS needs to be funded ONE DAY after she voted against it

Just when you might have thought politicians couldn’t be more disengenuous, wait 30 seconds.

There appears to be a disturbing trend set in motion amid Operation Epic Fury in Iran. Four jihadi attacks have been reported in the U.S. in two weeks, while the Department of Homeland Security remains shut down.

As BizPac Review reported, Senate Democrats voted to keep DHS’s doors closed in a 46 – 47 vote with Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman breaking ranks. Michigan Senator Slotkin was among those who voted not to fund DHS, but that was on Thursday.

Fast forward to Friday, and she’s singing a different tune. “Certainly, we need to fund the Department of Homeland Security,” Slotkin told the press.

Fox News Political Analyst Guy Benson couldn’t believe his ears.

“There was a vote on [DHS funding] YESTERDAY… she made the choice to vote to MAINTAIN the shuttering,” he said in response to the clip. Benson said Slotkin had commented on the terror attack within her state on Thursday, before the vote ended.

It seems some Dems may be attempting to shift the narrative in the wake of the last two terrorist attacks in the U.S.

They will spin, weave, duck, lie, and backpedal. Whatever it takes. Shameless.
