Legendary KISS frontman tells celebs to ‘shut the f**k up’ about politics

Rock icon Gene Simmons is over celebrities spouting off about politics and suggested they “shut the f— up” and focus on their own work.

TMZ questioned the KISS frontman about the latest griping by celebrities like Mark Ruffalo and Ben Stiller, and Simmons minced no words in dismissing the whining over everything related to President Donald Trump.

“Right now, Ben Stiller is calling out the president, saying he doesn’t want him to use his movie clips for war propaganda,” the TMZ reporter asked Simmons in a clip posted Tuesday, noting how many in Hollywood are currently critical of Trump’s military actions against Iran.

“Because everybody in the world should listen to what actors and comedians say because they’re so qualified,” Simmons snarked.

“Basically, shut the f— up,” the 76-year-old rocker added. “Do your art and shut up. Nobody’s interested in your opinions, that includes me. Who I vote for. Who I like.”

“Who the f— do you think you are? ” Simmons continued. “People in America work hard for a living, and they don’t want to be lectured to by people who live in mansions and drive Rolls-Royces. It’s time for everybody in the entertainment industry to shut their piehole and just do your art. Nobody cares what you think. I don’t.”

Stiller called out the administration for using a clip from his 2008 movie “Tropic Thunder.”

“Hey White House, please remove the Tropic Thunder clip. We never gave you permission and have no interest in being a part of your propaganda machine. War is not a movie,” he posted on X last month.

“Avengers” star Mark Ruffalo has also been posting, telling followers on X that “we need everyone to call their Senators and Congress members to say: No war with Iran! ”

Simmons trashed the actor’s opinion during his talk with TMZ, saying, “What would Mark Buffalo think?” as he intentionally mispronounced his name before replying, “I don’t care.”

“Go to Kylie Jenner and ask her what she thinks of the war so far,” he quipped.

Back in December, the KISS frontman told CNN’s “Inside Politics” that “It’s nobody’s business who you support.”

“Nowadays, people engage in, ‘So are you pro or,’ and my first question is, ‘Who the f— are you? Who are you?’ Since when does who I support or not support is the business of anyone except my conscience?”

“But literally, have a sense of humor,” he added. “Take a pill, shut up, and stop worrying what your next-door neighbor believes or doesn’t believe. It’s their America too.”
