Ilhan Omar and Nancy Mace throw down over Iranian ayatollah’s death

Reps. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) threw down in a nasty social media spat over the death of Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who perished over the weekend after the U.S. and Israel launched a punishing wave of airstrikes on the Islamic Republic.

After the ruthless dictator’s lifeless corpse was fished out of the rubble of his compound in Tehran, Mace took to X, where she taunted Omar and fellow Islamic radical “Squad” member Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) over the ayatollah’s demise.

“My heart goes out to Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib tonight. Sending them thoughts and prayers,” wrote Mace, sharing a Fox News report confirming the death of the Supreme Leader.

The Somalia-born Democrat shot back, jabbing the South Carolina Republican over unsubstantiated allegations about her drinking habits.

“I hope you aren’t drunk and took your staff’s advice, Rashida and I don’t know this man and feel confident he didn’t care about us. Please restrain from drinking too much as you have been warned from your staff and stay off social media when you are drunk. I pray in his holy month you find peace and respect for your self,” Omar wrote.

The hijab-swaddled lawmaker was likely referring to a recent New York Magazine hit piece alleging that Mace would “command” her staffers to “bring her liquor after midnight to keep parties going at her home.” Mace has denied that she has a problem with the juice, slamming the report as “fabrication and lies.”

The fiery GOP congresswoman didn’t allow Omar’s cheap shot to go unanswered, returning fire by calling her out for allegedly marrying her own brother.

“So tell me, what was it like being married to your brother?” Mace asked.

The fraud “Squad” member has repeatedly denied that she married her sibling.

Mace also slammed Omar over her post that claimed the United States attacked Iraq during Ramadan, a flat-out lie that was fact-checked by X’s user notes.

“Ilhan Omar didn’t care that over 1,000 Jews were slaughtered on a Jewish holiday,” she wrote. “Maybe sit this one out terrorist lover.”

As far as social media slugouts go, this was one-sided. Score it as a decisive K.O. for Mace.

In another heated social media exchange last year, Mace told Omar, “We would love to see you deported back to Somalia next.”
