CEO debunks security risk claim about Susie Wiles

Critics raising the alarm about a potential security breach by White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles were set straight by a company CEO.

Will Ahmed, the founder and CEO of wearable fitness company Whoop, threw cold water on the security risk claims after a photo of Wiles speaking with President Donald Trump began circulating. The photo showed her in the meeting wearing what many were convinced was a type of smartwatch, which would not be allowed in the sensitive area.

Ahmed addressed the controversy in a post on X, explaining his company’s product.

“It’s called a whoop,” he wrote.

“There’s no story here other than a dead ayatollah and a green recovery,” he added, which Fox Business explained was a reference to “the device’s recovery score — a feature that tracks stress, sleep, and overall readiness.”

Get your facts right,” Ahmed added in the post responding to fear-mongering by the father of a Parkland school shooting victim who wrote, ” I guess security doesn’t matter to these clowns.”

Ahmed wrote in another post that following the beginning of Operation Epic Fury, Wiles probably had a low resting heart rate and high heart rate variability, again emphasizing the device “does not include a microphone, GPS, or cellular capability of any kind.”

He pointed out that the National Security Agency has approved the Whoop device.

CNN’s Brian Stelter chimed in on X to write, “I love my @WHOOP (and immediately recognized it in the photo of Susie Wiles),” and told Ahmed, “of all my monthly subscriptions, yours is the one i can’t live without!”
