‘The View’ co-host visibly chokes up while she gushes over Bad Bunny

Daily Caller News Foundation

“The View” co-host Ana Navarro choked up on Monday while she gushed over rapper Bad Bunny’s performance during the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Navarro emotionally claimed that Bad Bunny’s performance was a message of hope for the Latino community, as federal immigration enforcement has ramped up arrests and deportations of illegal aliens. The rapper, who has outspokenly bashed President Donald Trump’s hawkish immigration policies, performed without uttering a word of English and led a parade of performers while he named almost every country in North, Central and South America.

I just, I really can’t, and there were so many people texting me yesterday on my timeline who told me they were weeping, and I can’t overstate what it means to the Latino community that has seen itself persecuted, attacked, racially profiled,” Navarro said. “We have seen, for the last year, our children dragged through the streets. We have seen our pregnant women, our elderly dragged through the streets, disappeared and detained.”

“To have Bad Bunny use that platform to say, do not otherize us. We are all part of America, and we are all equal, and we all belong, and love is stronger than hate,” Navarro continued.

Bad Bunny continued his anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) messaging during the Grammy Awards on Sunday, where he said, “Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say, ICE Out.” He also avoided tours on the U.S. mainland over fears of ICE raids at his concerts.

While Bad Bunny’s performance received scrutiny from conservatives, the National Football League (NFL) stood by its decision to have Bad Bunny perform, claiming that the rapper has a “massive global outreach,” according to ESPN. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem condemned the NFL’s decision in an interview on “The Benny Johnson Show” in January.

Turning Point USA launched its own halftime performance to counter Bad Bunny, which included Kid Rock and country musicians Brantley Lee, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett. The “All American Halftime Show” garnered 25 million views on Sunday night despite the organization being unable to stream on X.

Since Trump’s second term began, ICE arrested over 300,000 illegal aliens in 2025 alone, with 70% of those arrested having criminal records, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). During a Jan. 20 press conference, Trump held up mugshots of criminal illegal aliens in Minnesota, many of whom committed acts of terroristic threats, rape and molestation, who had been detained by ICE.
