Seattleās police union on Friday fired back at Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson, a rabid leftist, after she called for local cops to track and investigate federal immigration agents as if they were criminals.
āToothless virtue signaling rhetoric like this has already cost two people their lives,ā president of the Seattle Police Officer Guild (SPOG), Mike Solan, said in a statement, referencing the deaths of left-wing extremists Renee Good and Alex Pretti at the hands of law enforcement.
āThe concept of pitting two armed law enforcement agencies against each other is ludicrous, and will not happen. I will not allow SPOG members to be used as political pawns,ā he added.

The statement came a day after Wilson, the mayor, banned federal immigration agents from using city property such as parking lots, plazas, and garages to conduct their operations.
The leftist mayor also ordered the cityās police force to āinvestigate, verify, and documentā the actions of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents operating in town.
āIf dispatched to a location where apparent immigration enforcement activity is underway, officers will document the activity with in-car and body-worn video, validate the status of apparent federal law enforcement agents through official identification, and secure scenes of potentially unlawful acts to gather evidence for transmittal to prosecutors,ā a press release from her office reads.
Wilson further called for the city government to āinvest $4 million in city funds to organizations engaged in immigrant legal defense, community support, and the long-term needs of immigrant communities.ā
So, in other words, she wants to use local taxpayer funds to provide a legal defense to illegal aliens.
āSo many of us are shocked and heartbroken by the news out of Minneapolis, and share a growing concern that our city too could come under attack by the federal government,ā she said in a virtue-signaling statement directed at her rabid base.
āIām also disturbed by what Iāve been hearing about the huge spike in hotline calls there from families that canāt pay their rent because theyāre afraid to leave their homes and go to work, and about small businesses at the end of their rope because the federal incursion has made it impossible to operate,ā she added.

And finally, Wilson urged private property/business owners to post trespassing signs directed at federal immigration agents.
The White House was also not pleased by her proposals.
āICE officers are facing a 1300 percent increase in assaults because of dangerous, untrue smears by elected Democrats,ā White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson told Fox News. āJust the other day, an officer had his finger bitten off by a radical left-wing rioter.ā
āICE officers act heroically to enforce the law and protect American communities and local officials should work with them, not against them. Anyone pointing the finger at law enforcement officers instead of the criminals is simply doing the bidding of criminal illegal aliens,ā she added.
Despite the radicalism of Wilsonās proposal, numerous top officials in Seattle eagerly glommed onto it, including Seattle City Councilmember Maritza Rivera.
āThe Federal Administration is not only acting with brutality, but I believe it is also acting outside constitutional law,ā she said in a statement. ā
āWhen our own government operates outside the bounds of the constitution and outside the bounds of human decency, cities and states must band together to protect our residents, provide leadership, and maintain calm,ā she added.
All this comes as the stateās leftist legislators consider āmeasures to slow federal immigration activity in Washington, including a bill that would prevent former ICE agents from being hired into local law enforcement, as well as banning officers from wearing face coverings,ā according to local station KCPQ.
