‘Lady, please’: Civil Rights activist slammed for comparing her arrest to slavery

Playing the race card is a go-to strategy for many on the left, but still, it comes as somewhat of a surprise to hear former NAACP leader Nekima Levy Armstrong, an alleged civil rights activist, compare being in handcuffs to slavery.

Armstrong was in handcuffs because she was arrested for storming a St. Paul, Minnesota, church on January 18 to protest ICE. She was part of a group that terrorized churchgoers, which reportedly included blocking parents from reaching their children, who were being told their mothers and fathers were Nazis. In a rare example of the Trump administration putting actions to words and holding people accountable, Armstrong was arrested along with left-wing activists/provocateurs Chauntyll Allen and William Kelly for conspiracy to deprive rights after disrupting the church service.

Released the next day, Armstrong engaged in a propaganda tour to maximize her efforts, whining at a press conference, “We had… chains around our waists, we had handcuffs with bars in the middle. As someone who majored in African American studies, I can tell you that that is the closest I ever felt to slavery in my life.”

As ridiculous as Armstrong’s remarks are, it fits right in with the reparations crowd, which consists of people who were never enslaved demanding financial rewards from people who never enslaved.

The agitators in Minnesota who are trying to prevent ICE from lawfully doing its job are not above the law. A perpetual victim, Armstrong preaches for equality, and that’s precisely what she got.

Social media users were not persuaded by Armstrong’s over-the-top victimization rhetoric — here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
