‘My friend was murdered. Give me money for coffee’: Friend of Pretti wants cash ‘for the staff’

The shooting death of Alex Pretti has drawn a reaction from all over, but one “friend” is going viral for her tone-deaf response.

A woman claiming she was a friend of Pretti posted that he was “murdered,” only to immediately follow it up with her Venmo handle in a request for money. She claimed any donations would go toward “coffee or food for the staff” or to be given to “mutual aid groups.”

Minnesota has become a battleground between leftist forces and federal immigration agents, and now even the state judges are getting involved.

As BizPac Review previously reported, Chief Judge for the District of Minnesota Patrick Schiltz threatened to hold Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Todd Lyons in contempt on Monday for failing to comply with an in person court appearance.

“This is one of dozens of court orders with which respondents have failed to comply in recent weeks,” Schiltz wrote. “The practical consequence of respondents’ failure to comply has almost always been significant hardship to aliens (many of whom have lawfully lived and worked in the United States for years and done absolutely nothing wrong): The detention of an alien is extended, or an alien who should remain in Minnesota is flown to Texas, or an alien who has been flown to Texas is released there and told to figure out a way to get home.”
