Holocaust Museum rips Walz’s ‘deeply offensive’ Anne Frank ICE smear

Leftists love to jump to Hitler comparisons, but that’s not going to fly with the U.S. Holocaust Museum.

The museum took exception to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz comparing the children of his state to Anne Frank, claiming that they are “afraid to go outside” due to the federal illegal immigration crackdown. His statement was shockingly insensitive, but on par with the increasingly inflammatory nature of leftist rhetoric of late.

“Allow our children to go back to school. We have got children in Minnesota hiding in their houses, afraid to go outside,” the governor whined. “Many of us grew up reading that story of Anne Frank. Somebody’s going to write that children’s story about Minnesota.”

There are a great number of flaws in this logic, of course, but the most important of them all was pointed out by the museum on X.

Despite tensions in Minneapolis, exploiting the Holocaust is deeply offensive, especially as antisemitism surges,” the account wrote, bringing common sense back into the conversation.
