Gov. Hochul buried under avalanche of mockery over tutorial on show shoveling

New York Governor Kathy Hochul dispensed tips on how to properly shovel snow as a powerful winter storm slammed the Empire State, and was promptly buried by an avalanche of mockery.

Being a native of Buffalo, the Democrat fancies herself as an expert in snow removal, and in the short PSA posted to social media on Monday, she gave a brief tutorial on how to best clear away the white stuff from sidewalks and driveways after she had previously politicized the storm by rejecting DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s offer of federal help.

“Easy does it! Take it from a governor from Buffalo, there’s a right way to shovel out from the storm,” she wrote in the post to X, sharing the cringeworthy video.

“Pro tips on shoveling from someone from Buffalo who knows,” began the governor, who was dressed up in emergency garb and wielding an orange snow shovel.

“Just push it out of the way, ok? See what I’m doing here,” Hochul continued as she pushed the shovel across the ground. “No strain on the back from doing that.”

“Now, when it gets a lot heavier, you’re gonna have to do a little bit more, but don’t lift much. Just do smaller bits ok? Little bits, little bits. You can do this,” she said. “Don’t do a big pile and fill this up because that can lead to a heart attack. You don’t want that.”

It’s noteworthy that there was no accumulation at the time that Hochul recorded the video, which was about as authentic as Chuck Schumer’s holiday BBQ.

Hochul’s PSA elicited a blizzard of ridicule from X users.

Before the storm arrived, the Buffalo gal boasted about turning down DHS’s help in managing the storm response, prioritizing politics over the needs of her own constituents during the dangerous winter weather event.

“Secretary Noem offered assistance to New York ahead of the impending snowstorm,” the governor posted over the weekend. “I shared that the fastest way to help is for ICE to back off so people feel safe accessing warming centers, shelters, hospitals, and houses of worship.”

“You literally just told a U.S. Cabinet Secretary offering FREE blizzard relief to f**k off because ICE might make your illegal alien constituents feel ‘unsafe’,” local social media account NYC Scoop said in response to Hochul’s snubbing of Noem. “You’re not a governor. You’re a border checkpoint for cartels. Resign, you treasonous ice queen.”
