‘Wow, this is nasty’: CNN reporter gives firsthand account on effects of teargas

Leave it to a crack outfit like CNN to report that teargas is “nasty.”

With Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry essentially surrendering their streets to paid agitators and insurrectionists, federal agents are under siege in Minneapolis and forced to fend for themselves.

On Thursday, CNN’s Shimon Prokupecz was outside the Whipple Center ICE facility, reporting that the left-wing mob was throwing objects at federal immigration officers who were in vehicles when teargas was employed to bring the domestic terrorists under control.

“So for the past two hours, we’ve been watching as protesters have been kicking cars, throwing things at cars as they are federal law enforcement vehicles that have been going into this building,” he explained to CNN host Laura Coates. “And we have watched, and federal law enforcement has done nothing–”

Prokupecz paused as agents began firing tear gas in his general direction – here’s a clip of the moment from a different source:

“And here we go,” he responded. “We’re starting to throw those–- Hold on, let me just come back here. As you can see, basically now they’re just deploying tear gas because what’s been happening is that we have more tear gas here.”

“We’re following you, Shimon,” Coates said from the safety of the studio. “I can hear you. I know you’re trying to catch your breath from the deployment of that. Very disruptive.”

“Well, they threw the percussion grenades, and then they came from the other side, and they started throwing the tear gas,” a coughing Prokupecz continued. “So this crowd, this line of law enforcement that we were in front of, was pushing the crowd back. Then, from the other side came the other set of law enforcement officials who started throwing those percussion grenades and then tear gas. The crowd wasn’t a very large crowd. But Laura, what’s been happening–”

“Wow, this is nasty,” he added, in reference to the teargas — which is pretty much the point of teargas, so Prokupecz got that right.
