Joe Rogan’s attempt to see both sides on illegal alien deportations struck a sour chord as he likened federal immigration enforcement to a heinous WWII secret police force.
“‘Where’s your papers?’ Is that what we’ve come to?”

A lengthy chat with Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (R), where much of the discussion focused on issues surrounding COVID and the medical establishment, pivoted to matters of national sovereignty before the end. It was then that the host of “The Joe Rogan Experience” offered a take reflecting on the death of an anti-ICE activist in Minnesota that found social media users bristling at the empathy for both illegal aliens and the perspective of radical agitators.
After addressing concerns that open border policies and potential erroneous census numbers had “hijacked” America’s electoral system in favor of leftists, Rogan swung the other way to argue, “And then I can also see the point of the people that say, ‘Yeah, you don’t want militarized people in the streets just roaming around, snatching people up’ — many of which turn out to be U.S. citizens that just don’t have their papers on them.”
“Are we really gonna be the Gestapo?” he asked. “‘Where’s your papers?’ Is that what we’ve come to?”
The host then argued the matter of deportations was not a “black and white issue,” having also contended illegal aliens were integral, especially in places like Los Angeles, California, where restaurants rely on them for staffing.
On the death of Renee Good, who was fatally shot after allegedly committing an act of domestic terrorism when she drove her vehicle at a federal law enforcement official after disregarding instructions to stop obstructing their path with that same vehicle, Rogan contended, “I’m not that guy, I don’t know what he thought, and again this is a guy who had almost been run over. But it just looked horrific to me. When people say it’s justifiable because the car hit him, it seemed like she was kind of turning the car away.”
“It seemed like she was out of her f*cking mind to begin with. That lady seemed crazy,” he added in the discussion, where he also said, “People are now looking at [ICE] like murderous military people that are on the streets of our city. And they’re masked up, which is also a problem.”
While Rogan would go on to make the case that the masks served a purpose, protecting the identities of federal law enforcement who might otherwise see their families harassed or worse if they were doxed — further acknowledging few people would be willing to do the job under such a threat — reactions on social media were none too keen on demonizing ICE or any law enforcement for having to contend with the mess that leftists continued to prop up with their globalist policies and similarly dangerous rhetoric seen as incitement for fellow radicals to martyr themselves as though they were some sort of civil rights heroes.
Rogan: “Gestapo! Where’s your papers?” Spare me. We had open borders for years. Millions illegal. Crime spikes. Now ICE enforces existing law. Checking status = Gestapo? No. It’s called sovereignty. Cry harder.

Love Joe but he’s disconnected from the streets if he thinks it hasn’t come to this.

Deportation is not a crime. It is the RESULT of one!

Joe, should realize that this is what follows from allowing 20 million people, unvetted, into the country. You have to use these tactics to remove them.

He’s not getting invited back to the White House any time soon.
