Minn. Rep describes how Dems retaliate agaisnt whistleblowers and their KIDS

Minnesota state Rep. Marion Rarick (R) spoke about the retaliation whistleblowers are experiencing when calling attention to the apparently rampant fraud in the state.

Speaking to reporters outside a U.S. House Oversight Committee hearing on alleged fraud in Minnesota’s social service programs, Rarick detailed “terrifying” actions she attributed to Democrats.

“Retaliation has escalated and now it’s you’re going to lose your job, you’re going to lose your home, we’re going to track your children, we’re going to make sure that you can’t get a job anywhere else in state government and for Minnesota — can’t get a job anywhere that Democrats control,” the GOP lawmaker said.

Rarick told the Oversight Committee the Walz administration was trying to silence whistleblowers, saying those “who suggest improvements — or heaven forbid — report fraud, then face significant retaliations,” MPR News reported.

U.S. House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R) asked Rarick, “Do you have any doubt that Governor Tim Walz knew about this fraud as it was occurring?”

“He absolutely knew that it was occurring,” she shot back.

The Democrat-controlled Minnesota Department of Human Services has denied these allegations, insisting that retaliation is strictly prohibited. For what it’s worth, the Minnesota Whistleblower Act (MWA) was passed to protect employees who report unlawful conduct.
