Comedian Adam Carolla brutally bid farewell to Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz after he announced he would not seek reelection during a Monday episode of “The Adam Carolla Show.”
Walz pledged on Tuesday that he would not resign despite Republican Minnesota lawmakers calling on him to do so over his handling of the Somali fraud scandal. Carolla said on his show that Walz was a stupid “douche” and predicted the scandal would increasingly plague him.

“He’s a douche, and he’s a dope. And his wife is worse than him,” Carolla said. “And his daughter seems worse than both of them. So fuck off. Hit the fucking bricks, you idiot.”
“It’s just gonna get worse for him. And yes, he’s doing this, and good, good riddance,” he added. “But it’s sad. I mean, this guy was almost vice president in the United States, which is crazy … He’s a douche. He’s gone.”
First Assistant United States Attorney Joe Thompson announced on Dec. 18 that the amount of suspected fraud in Minnesota’s Medicaid program could have exceeded $9 billion.
Walz withdrew his reelection bid in the 2026 gubernatorial race on Monday. State officials accused him in a Nov. 29 X post of bearing full responsibility for the fraud by “systematically retaliating against whistleblowers” and striving to “discredit fraud reports.”
“Tim Walz is 100% responsible for massive fraud in Minnesota,” they wrote. “We let Tim Walz know of fraud early on, hoping for a partnership in stopping fraud, but no, we got the opposite response.”
Moreover, YouTuber Nick Shirley published a viral video on Dec. 26 highlighting ten daycare centers run by Somalis that did not seem to be operating properly, despite receiving taxpayer dollars.
“It ain’t happening. I’m not going anywhere. And you can make all of your requests for me to resign, over my dead body will that happen,” Walz said on Tuesday. “I will fight this thing until the very end to make this state better, and the question I think they need to decide is when does the guy in the White House resign? When does he take accountability for what he did? Because it isn’t going to happen here.”
