‘OH!’ ESPN host has hilarious reaction when gay dudes pop up on NYE kiss cam

For a split second, ESPN host Scott Van Pelt reacted to the kiss cam showing two gay dudes smooching as if this was the same network he joined some 25 years ago, but then his brain quickly reminded him that he now works for the woke Disney corporation.

“Yeah, live makeouts on SportsCenter. Get into it,” Van Pelt began as the camera shots began appearing on screen. “Oh! What are we… what do we got?” he said, quickly grasping where he was about to go as two men are seen tongue wrestling. “We’ve got love in the air. We’ve got makeouts. Who’s having a good time? Happy New Year, everybody!”

The feat of mental gymnastics was sad, yet something to behold. A personification of the impact of intolerance being in the hands of the powerful, an instantaneous summation of the consequences for acting normally and acquiescing to political correctness.

Interestingly, we still live in a society where two men kissing shocks the senses. A scene that screams abnormal behavior to many, even though much of the nation celebrates and glorifies such actions.

And Van Pelt seemed clearly disgusted by the image, but he was sharp enough on his feet to remember that he lives in a country where he is not free to publicly object to the display. Which is not to say that he may still get a visit from the Human Resources department in the very near future — and a few calls for his job.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
