The British language police aren’t only targeting social media users for wrongthink; now they’re coming after classic movies and TV shows.
Streaming service ITV is taking heat after it slapped the iconic 1978 movie Grease with a trigger warning for “teenage misbehaviour.’
The musical featuring John Travolta as ‘Danny’ and Oliva Newton-John as ‘Sandy’ was a monster hit, as it followed the unlikely romance between the two main characters.

But British viewers will be warned about “improper language and teenage misbehaviour.”
“Most parents would be absolutely delighted if the only bad behaviour that their teenage children got up to was occasionally mooning a passing car,” Free Speech Union leader Toby Lord Young told The Sun, according the Daily Mail.

Young has his work cut out for him, and other beloved British shows have been slapped with trigger warnings as well.
Byker Grove, a beloved British show launched 36 years ago featuring cigarette-smoking boys in a youth group, has been tagged with “outdated attitudes” and the use of “discriminatory language,’ as ITV prepares to re-launch it.
Other older shows that have been hit with trigger warnings by ITV include “Crossroads” and “Midsomer Murders”, the Daily Mail reported.
The U.K. has been called out for its totalitarian crackdown on free speech and crusade against so-called “hate speech.” Last month, a British man was arrested after he posted a picture to LinkedIn of himself legally using a firearm while visiting Florida.
