Mamdani admits he committed a federal crime by having illegals participate in his campaign

In remarks that many will not find surprising, New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani revealed that illegal immigrants canvassed for him during his campaign for office.

The far-left Democrat seemed to let the cat out of the bag about his campaign and what appears to be a violation of federal election laws.

“I heard from an older Bangladeshi woman who told me she canvassed me over the course of this campaign in fear of whether she would be picked up in the course of knocking on doors, because she was even afraid to go to the grocery store,” the Democratic Socialist said.


“And I think what we’ve seen under this current administration here in New York City is an unwillingness to stand up for the laws we already have here,” Mamdani added in a reference to the Big Apple’s sanctuary laws.

But employing illegal immigrants violates federal law, which trumps the city’s sanctuary polices as well.

Mamdani is scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump at the White House on Friday.

“I want to just speak plainly to the president about what it means to actually stand up for New Yorkers and the way in which New Yorkers are struggling to afford this city,” Mamdani said on MS NOW, formerly MSNBC, on Wednesday.

“As is customary for an incoming mayoral administration, the Mayor-elect plans to meet with the President in Washington to discuss public safety, economic security and the affordability agenda that over one million New Yorkers voted for just two weeks ago,” a spokesperson for the incoming mayor said in a statement.

Trump announced the upcoming Oval Office meeting in a Truth Social  post about the “Communist Mayor of New York City, Zohran ‘Kwame’ Mamdani.”

Mamdani’s latest remarks about illegal aliens helping his campaign sparked outrage on social media.
