‘What’s going on?’ Jasmine Crockett posts cringe video of herself rapping

Democrats continue to prove time and time again that “the left can’t meme” is more than a catchy insult.

Piggybacking on a current TikTok trend that combines the 2 Non Blondes song “What’s up?” with Nicki Minaj’s “Beez in the Trap,” Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, joined Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist, who is currently running for governor in Michigan. The duo lip-synched the words in a video captioned “POV you’re about to elect Michigan’s first Black Governor.”

This was not exactly a hit on X, where users couldn’t see younger generations being swayed by videos such as this:

While the consensus on X is that the video is “cringe,” not everyone thinks that Crockett is a liability for the Democratic Party. As BizPac Review previously reported, Charlamagne tha God called the controversial lawmaker a “phenomenal messenger” and urged the party to “lean in to” her.

“Jasmine Crockett is actually what the Democrats should be leaning into. Because she is a phenomenal messenger. And some people just got it. Some people just have a different anointing on them. You don’t know why certain people cause folks to gravitate towards them,” Charlamagne said. “To me, it’s more than Jasmine Crockett having that moment with [Republican Georgia Rep.] Marjorie Taylor Greene, where she was like ‘bad built bleach body’ or whatever it is. If you watch her in these congressional meetings, she’s always on message about something.”
