Black pastor calls out hypocrite Obama for ‘demoralizing and insulting black men’

Former President Barack Obama was called out for being a hypocrite after he stumped for Virginia gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger.

The Democrat who shamed black men in 2024 for not turning out to vote for a black woman, then-Vice President Kamala Harris, is under fire for throwing his own support behind Spanberger, a House Democrat, as he joined her on the campaign trail.

Obama declared Spanberger is in the race “for the right reasons,” while slamming her opponent, Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears (R), who could potentially become the state’s first black female governor.

While stumping for Harris in 2024, Obama had criticized the lack of “energy” for the Democrat, which he said “seems to be more pronounced with the brothers.”

“Part of it makes me think — and I’m speaking to men directly — part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you’re coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that,” he said at the time.

His support of Spanberger hit a nerve with Pastor John K. Amanchukwu Sr.

“So you demoralize and insult, black men because they didn’t want to support Kamala Harris, and now you turn around and endorse a white woman, over a black candidate?” he wrote on X in reaction to Obama’s post.  “Somebody, make it make sense.”

“Virginia – Abigail Spanberger cares about your freedoms, she will fight for your rights, and she will work every day to make your life a little bit better,” Obama wrote in his post.

Social media users couldn’t have agreed more with Amanchukwu.
