Psaki smears ‘scarier’ Vance, claims VP’s wife wants to leave him

Daily Caller News Foundation

MSNBC’s Jen Psaki said Tuesday on a left-wing podcast that she “always wonder[s]” what goes on “in the mind” of Second Lady Usha Vance, implying she needs to be “rescued” from her husband, Vice President JD Vance.

Speculation over the 2028 presidential race is already mounting, with many predicting Vance could lead the GOP ticket. During an appearance on the “I’ve Had It” podcast episode titled “Devil Wears MAGA,” which aired Tuesday, co-host Jennifer Welch told Psaki she believes Republicans plan to elevate Vance to advance outside supposed efforts to “no longer … have a democracy.”

“I think the little Manchurian candidate, JD Vance, wants to be president more than anything else. I always wonder what’s going on in the mind of his wife,” Psaki said as co-host Angie “Pumps” Sullivan shouted, “Agree!”

“Like, are you okay? Please blink four times. We’ll come over here, we’ll save you. And that he’s [Vance is] willing to do anything to get there,” Psaki added.

“And that your whole iteration you just outlined — I mean, he’s scarier in certain ways. And he’s young. And ambitious. And agile in the sense that he is a chameleon who makes himself into whatever he thinks the audience wants to hear from him,” the MSNBC host and former White House Press Secretary added. “Now, what’s also true, though, is JD Vance is not; he’s in some ways goodish on paper, if you like what he believes in, I don’t know. But I don’t know that he can take the whole movement with him.”

As Psaki continued to question whether Vance could unite Republicans in 2028, the two “I’ve Had It” hosts agreed, saying they also didn’t believe he would be able to.

“No way. He [has] no rizz,” Welch said, referring to a popular internet slang word for “charisma.”

“Got no rizz, right?” Psaki appeared to agree. “He just is a little odd. Trump’s odd in a different way. So I’m skeptical of that. … I mean, everything going on right now, and I think we have to be very clear-eyed about this, is about trying to manipulate the public around elections.”

An Emerson College poll released Friday shows Vance holding a narrow lead over Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom in a hypothetical 2028 presidential matchup. The survey found 46% of respondents backing Vance, 45% supporting Newsom, and 10% undecided.
