‘You’re cooked bro’: NC governor’s rambling answer on signing ‘Iryna’s Law’ says everything

Sometimes what isn’t said tells you all you need to know.

That premise came to the forefront for many when Democrat North Carolina Governor Josh Stein wouldn’t answer a simple question about the proposed “Iryna’s Law” that demands harder punishment for criminals within his state.

The law was inspired by the horrific stabbing of Iryna Zarutuska, who was mercilessly attacked as she sat innocently on a train. Video of the stabbing went viral and sparked a massive outcry against lenient Democrat policies that allow repeat criminals, like Zarutuska’s killer, to remain on the streets.

After CNN’s Dana Bash asked the governor if he’d sign the bill, he responded with a rambling answer.

For X users, Stein’s squirrelly answer told them everything.

CNN’s Scott Jennings caught wind of the clip and called Stein’s chances for reelection “cooked.”

Time will tell.
