Speculation runs high when full-on fist fight breaks out in Mexican Senate over US intervention

Contentious partisan politics isn’t only for Americans; it’s happening in many countries around the world, including Mexico.

A video reportedly showing a heated exchange between Mexican senators is raising eyebrows. Members can be seen verbally arguing until one man puts his hand on another, resulting in full swings and pushes that were being deployed by several members.

Mexican Senate members were reportedly fighting over whether the U.S. should be used to help stem cartel activity.

Here is another angle that clearly shows these men weren’t holding back.

According to the AP: “Tempers flared in Mexico’s Senate Wednesday when PRI leader Alejandro ‘Alito’ Moreno Cárdenas and Senate President Gerardo Fernández Noroña of the Morena party shoved each other during a disagreement.

The clash began after Moreno said he wasn’t given the floor.”

The wild scene sparked plenty of speculation about why a Mexican official wouldn’t want help controlling ruthless Mexican cartels.

Of course, X users also brought jokes, and some even wished they saw similar passion in the U.S. Senate.

That’s one way of looking at it.
