ESPN, Spike Lee docuseries on Kaepernick not coming out over ‘creative differences’

Another woke fever dream bites the dust.

After years of working on docuseries featuring social justice warrior Colin Kaepernick, it has been announced that the project is being scrapped at least for now.

“ESPN, Colin Kaepernick and Spike Lee have collectively decided to no longer proceed with this project as a result of certain creative differences,” Disney-owned ESPN said in a statement on Saturday.

“Despite not reaching finality, we appreciate all the hard work and collaboration that went into this film.”

The docuseries began in 2022 and was to be a “full, first-person account” of the former San Francisco 49ers player who became famous for kneeling on the NFL field during the national anthem.

Lee was questioned about the series on the red carpet during an event on Friday.

“It’s not coming out. That’s all I can say,” Lee said at the Harold and Carole Pump Foundation dinner for cancer research, the New York Post reported. When asked to elaborate, Lee remained tight-lipped.

“I can’t. I signed a nondisclosure. I can’t talk about it.”

Kaepernick’s team had no comment on the matter.

As for X users… they had plenty to say, with many not buying “creative differences” as the reason for the falling out:
