Another federal judge halts Trump admin’s effort to deport anti-Semitic ringleader

Another judge is standing in the way of Making America Great Again, with a ruling to thwart President Trump’s effort to boot a foreign anti-Semitic ringleader out of the country.

Mahmoud Khali was detained after allegedly instigating violent anti-Semitic riots on Columbia University’s campus and was awaiting deportation until U.S. District Judge Michael Farbiarz stepped in.

“The district court held what we already knew: Secretary Rubio’s weaponization of immigration law to punish Mahmoud and others like him is likely unconstitutional,” lawyers for Khalil said after the ruling, according to Fox News.

Farbiarz argued that the Trump admin’s deportation order was “unconstitutionally vague” and would likely be dismissed, but stopped short of ordering Farbiarz’s release.

Khalil,30, is an Algerian citizen and a green card holder. He’s married to US citizen Noor Abdalla, whom he met in 2016 while volunteering in Lebanon, according to Fox. He has been accused by the Department of Homeland Security of lying on his visa applications.
