The lady that almost single-handedly destroyed the Bud Light brand is now at LIV Golf

The former marketing executive for Bud Light has reportedly been working for Saudi-funded LIV Golf, sparking questions about the choice.

Alissa Heinerscheid has been with the professional tour for several months following the explosive fallout at Bud Light, which partnered with trans activist Dylan Mulvaney in a campaign that was largely blamed on the former exec.

“Heinerscheid joined Bud Light in July of 2022 and became the first woman to lead the company. According to her LinkedIn profile, her role at the company was to hone decisions around media, content, PR, and partnerships. She worked for Anheuser-Busch, Bud Light’s parent company, for about 9 years,” Newsweek noted.

“Now, according to a recent LinkedIn update, Heinerscheid has now joined LIV Golf, where she has been working for eight months,” the outlet added.

In April 2023, Heinerscheid took a leave of absence from Anheuser-Busch after she declared ahead of the controversy that the brand was in “decline” and “had been kind of a brand of fratty, kind of out-of-touch humor, and it was really important that we had another approach.”

Launched in 2022 to rival the PGA Tour, LIV Golf is reportedly backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Many social media users wondered if the golf tour did not know Heinerscheid’s story, while others thought this was a chance for her to redeem herself.
