The Democratic Party is adrift, and clueless efforts to find direction are leading to some cringeworthy measures.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and resurfaced former Texas congressman Beto O’Rourke held a town hall in Southeast Texas that many found less than inspiring.
The Democrats somehow thought it was a good idea to send he and Tampon Tim out there together

The event in Fort Bend County, which is mostly represented by GOP Rep. Troy Nehls, covered the same old talking points and was mocked by critics on X, such as conservative actor James Woods.

“We’re going to take your questions,” Walz said. “This is for you. I’m here because I have a megaphone – or a platform – and I’m handing it to the people.”
So great to see all of you in Fort Bend!
I’m sorry your Congressman won’t host a town hall, but I was honored to be invited to speak in his place. pic.twitter.com/UiWtpvlXbt

“According to organizers, the event drew about 2,000 people from around the greater Houston area, many of whom said they wanted to know the party’s course moving forward,” Houston Public Media reported.
O’Rourke decried the “banana republic” in Texas as he bemoaned election security efforts.
Beto O’Rourke rails against voter ID and mail-in ballot verification measures in Texas as “banana republic.”

Proof of citizenship for voter registration sparked Walz to call for a “shadow government.”

“Tim Walz and Beto O’Rourke’s so-called ‘Congressional Town Hall’ was a stunt,” Nehls said in a blistering statement in response to the event. “Neither one of them is a Member of Congress. The American people rejected Tim Walz in November, and his remarks last night made it crystal clear that he still doesn’t understand why. Beto O’Rourke is a three-time loser who no one wants to represent them. I meet with the great patriots of my district regularly and send a weekly newsletter every Friday to keep the district up-to-date on my work in Congress.”

The Republican lawmaker was not alone in his assessment of the Democrat duo.

I almost forgot that Beto still exists. He disappeared after he lost 3 elections in the span of 4 years.

Pancho Vanilla (“Beto” O’Rourke) is arguing that ballot fraud is necessary to save democracy. What’s he running for this time?
