Bondi puts Jasmine Crockett on notice over Musk threats

U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s comments about Elon Musk got the attention of Attorney General Pam Bondi who warned the Texas Democrat to “tread very carefully.”

Speaking on a call with the Tesla Takedown movement, Crockett declared that March 29, the day of a planned “Global Day of Action” against the electric vehicle company, is also her birthday.

“All I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down,” she said in the nationwide call. “I have learned, as I serve on the DOGE Oversight committee, that there is only one language that the people that are in charge understand right now, and that language is money.”

“Obviously everything that I am promoting is nonviolent,” she added.

“She is an elected public official, so she needs to tread very carefully because nothing will happen to Elon Musk, and we are going to fight to protect all the Tesla owners throughout this country,” Bondi told host Maria Bartiromo.

Bondi explained that there is a “dedicated task force” handling the wave of vandalism and attacks on Tesla dealerships, vehicles, and their owners.

“These are not isolated incidents, as you know,” she added, noting that the three people arrested in connection with attacks will face “swift and severe consequences.”

“Domestic terrorism is going to come to a stop in our country,” she vowed.

Crockett fired back in an appearance on MSNBC, claiming her words were being “twisted” and that she made it clear there was no violence intended in her remarks about Musk.

She shot back at Bondi by bringing up the January 6 protest at the Capitol and suggesting President Trump re-arrest the protesters whom he pardoned.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) had called out Crockett and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz for their recent comments on Musk and Tesla.

“Every one of these people knows they’re not just talking about declining to purchase this product,” Cruz said on his podcast last week. “They are cheering on Molotov cocktails, violent firebombing, and firing guns. And I’ll tell you, somebody is going to be killed.”

Crockett told Tesla protesters that the only way to get the government’s attention is by demonstrating against the American vehicle company.

“If our government refuses to listen, there’s another way to really make them think hard about listening to you and it comes in the form of your protest,” Crockett said. “I’m going to keep screaming in the halls of Congress. I just need y’all to make sure that y’all keep screaming in the streets.”

“We know that we are peaceful, loving people, and this is not about violence,” she claimed.
