New Ambassador calls UN ‘a deep den of anti-Semitism’

A designated member of President Donald Trump’s cabinet didn’t hold back from slamming the “deep den of antisemitism” to which she has been selected as ambassador.

Among the confirmations that have been slow-walked, New York Rep. Elise Stefanik’s nomination as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations was intended to help the president’s agenda rather than harm it. However, the delayed vote to protect the Republicans’ slim majority didn’t prevent her from making clear that the days of “propping up organizations” that oppose America’s interests were over as she called the U.N. to the carpet.

Taking the stage at the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL) Never is Now Summit on Monday, Stefanik didn’t mince words as she asserted, “We know the United Nations is indeed a deep den of antisemitism, infected with the same rampant anti-Israel and anti-American hate and moral rot that has polluted America’s higher education system.”

“Especially since the barbaric Hamas attacks of October 7th, the U.N. has continuously betrayed Israel, betraying America in the process, acting instead as an apologist for Iran and Iran’s terrorist proxies,” she continued, pointing toward the global organization that has expressed favor for a two-state solution. “Under President Trump, as United States ambassador to the United Nations, the days of propping up organizations that run counter to our interests are long gone.”

“We will no longer fund terrorism, antisemitism, and anti-Israel hate,” the congresswoman asserted. “That stops immediately.”

Speaking to Trump’s record with the Abraham Accords, moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, and coordinating with the Israel Defense Forces, Stefanik went on to contend, “And I believe it’s quite obvious to the world that if President Trump had remained in office, October 7th would never have happened.”

Though she received some applause earlier in her remarks, that claim was met with jeers and, according to a report from The Jerusalem Post, dozens of attendees even walked out.

Undeterred by the protest that smacked of Trump Derangement Syndrome, the ambassador-designee continued, “He has brought his pro-Israel policies to the White House. And in just a month, the world has watched as President Trump reasserts America first, peace through strength foreign policy. Only 12 hours after his reelection, Hamas terrorists called for an immediate end to the war, a direct result of President Trump’s restoration of American strength to the world stage.”

“Innocent hostages taken by Hamas terrorists have been returned home as President Trump promised all hell if they were not brought back. And we will continue to work until every hostage comes back home and is returned home,” she added.

Stefanik also called for the U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) to be eliminated, noting the efforts to defund the group after it was discovered a number of employees had roles in the Oct. 7 terror attacks on Israel.

While her confirmation has been stalled until a number of vacant seats can be filled in the House, she is expected to clear the Senate vote without issue, as even Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman (D) has voiced his support, openly agreeing with her take on the UN’s “pervasive antisemitism.”
