Trump uses hilarious Sponge Bob meme aimed at defiant federal workers

President Donald Trump poked fun at federal workers grumbling about being asked what they accomplished at work.

Workers received an email from the Office of Personnel Management over the weekend with the subject line, “What did you do last week?” The request that wouldn’t;t ruffle feathers at most American workplaces sent federal workers into a meltdown.

Elon Musk running the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) posted on X that “Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation.”

Trump reacted on Truth Social with a hilarious meme featuring the Nickelodeon cartoon character Spongebob Squarepants, posting it shortly after Musk had shared it on X.

The yellow sea sponge loooked over a notebook with pencil in hand in one of the images. The other features a ist marked “Got done last week.” Among the accomplishments included “Cried about Trump,” and “Cried about Elon” as well as “Made it to the office for once.”

Musk had reactedc to the meltdown over the OPM request in another post on X, noting that “the bar is very low here” after hysteria over what’s seen as routine progress reports in the real world outside of the federal bureaucracy.

“An email with some bullet points that make any sense at all is acceptable! Should take less than 5 mins to write,” Musk added.

Musk even ran a poll on his social media platform.
