He’s a star’: Trump’s understated wingman is a brilliant attorney, quietly rising in the ranks

President Trump is surrounding himself with the best talent, and his Executive Order wingman who’s quietly risen in the ranks is no exception.

“He’s a star,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said of Will Scharf, the man who was spontaneously asked by Trump to read out loud the many Executive Orders signed on Inauguration Day.

Scharf, 38, boasts an impressive resume as a former prosecutor and Missouri attorney general candidate, and is now in charge of managing important papers that Trump needs to see as well as drafting memos and statements, the Daily Mail reported.

Leavitt called Scharf’s role as staff secretary one of the White House’s most underrated roles.

“Will Scharf is an extraordinarily intelligent, respectful team player who is wholeheartedly committed to doing what’s right for the president and for the team,” she told DailyMail.com.

“Everybody who knows Will Scharf loves Will Scharf, including me. He has proven to be magnificent at his job.”

Sharf has been involved within Trump’s orbit for years, and has been spotted at press conferences at Trump Tower and the president’s Bedminster golf club in New Jersey, according to the DM.

The young attorney also joined Trump’s legal team to work on the New York hush-money case.

“Will is a highly skilled attorney who will be a crucial part of my White House team,” said Trump when he tapped him for the role in November.

“He has played a key role in defeating the Election Interference and Lawfare waged against me, including by winning the historic immunity decision in the Supreme Court.”

But Sharf has moved from behind the scenes to front and center as he accompanies Trump on trips around the country and the world.

“A Princeton and Harvard Law grad, Scharf worked on Supreme Court confirmations for Kavanaugh and Barrett before joining Trump’s legal team, helping fight election-related cases and the presidential immunity battle,” Mario Nawfal said on X.

“He even ran for Missouri Attorney General in 2023. That same year, he co-founded “Jews Against Soros”, pushing back on claims that criticizing billionaire George Soros was antisemitic.

“Now, he’s a regular at Trump’s side, introducing orders before the Sharpie moment.”

Sharf was conspicuously missing, however, as Trump signed a proclamation declaring Feb. 9 “Gulf of America Day” while traveling to New Orleans on Air Force One.

The staff secretary had reportedly given up his seat so that another team member could attend the Super Bowl.
