‘How did this happen?’ MTG shares new video with clear angle of DC crash

New video footage from the deadly midair collision in Washington, D.C. raised more questions about how the tragedy unfolded Wednesday night.

“How did this happen?” U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene asked in a post on X where she shared videos obtained by CNN that showed another angle of the collision between the Black Hawk helicopter and the American Airlines flight.

“Clear skies, good visibility, and the American Airlines plane is extremely visible,” the Georgia Republican added.

“In the videos both aircraft can clearly be seen flying towards each other, then exploding and falling into the river after the fatal explosion,” CNN reported on the footage.

President Donald Trump has weighed in with his thoughts about the latest reports indicating the military aircraft was not flying in authorized space or under restricted height requirements.

“The Blackhawk helicopter was flying too high, by a lot. It was far above the 200 foot limit. That’s not really too complicated to understand, is it???” he asked in a post on Truth Social.

Reports have been indicating that the Black Hawk may have been flying higher than approved and may have been outside of its authorized flight path.

The pilot of the helicopter “asked the air traffic controller for permission to use a specific, predetermined route that lets helicopters fly no higher than 200 feet and that hugs the bank on the east side of the Potomac River, a location that would have let it avoid the American Airlines plane,” The New York Times reported.

The Times noted that the military aircraft was “above 300 feet, not below 200 feet, and was at least a half-mile off the approved route when it collided with the jet.”

Rep. Greene’s questions sparked by the newest video footage were echoed by others on X.
