One of the suspects arrested in the burglary of NFL quarterback Joe Burrow’s home was seen in police video wearing Bengals merchandise.
Bodycam video released by the Ohio State Highway Patrol showed a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of four men suspected in the December burglary. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback was playing with his team against the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, Texas when his Ohio home was robbed.
Four Chilean nationals were arrested during “an ongoing investigation involving burglaries of multi-million dollar homes in multiple states,” according to court documents obtained by WLWT.
“Alexander Chavez, Bastian Morales, Jordan Sanchez and Sergio Cabello face multiple charges including participating in a criminal gang, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, obstructing official business and possession of criminal tools,” according to the outlet which noted there was no specific mention of Burrow.
The men were pulled over for an improper lane change, and a trooper asked, “Where are you guys headed to today, sir? Where are you going?”
When one of the men said they were headed to Florida, the trooper responded, “Orlando, wrong way. Florida is that way.”
During a search of the vehicle, police found “an old LSU shirt and Bengals hat believed to be stolen from the December 9, 2024 burglary in Hamilton County,” according to the documents.
“All four males were identified as being illegally in the country or overstaying their permissions,” the arrest report stated.
An ongoing investigation by the Southwest Ohio Burglary Task Force has led to the arrests and indictments of four Chilean men, who are accused of carrying out a string of burglaries targeting multimillion-dollar homes, AG Yost announced.

The men had allegedly provided fake IDs to authorities and the video showed investigators searching the SUV after the traffic stop. They reportedly found “two Husky automatic center punch tools wrapped in cloth towel behind the glove box.” In the video, they are described as “window punchers,” a type of tool used by the South American Theft Group to break into homes.
“After the four male Chileans’ true identifications were learned all four males were identified as being illegally in the country or overstayed their permissions,” documents stated, according to WLWT.
The suspects are each being held on $250,000 bonds.
