‘We’ll see you soon, Madam D.A.’ Fani Willis can be subpoenaed by GOP over misconduct allegations, court rules

It’s been a tough year for Fani Willis and a breaking development signals it will only get worse for the Trump-hating Georgia D.A.

Willis first made headlines as the Fulton County district attorney who set out to persecute Donald Trump.  Fast forward to 2024, and Willis has been hit with a string of personal and legal blows that will likely slow her Trump witch-hunt if not stop it altogether, despite her latest efforts to keep it rolling.

It’s just been revealed that Willis can be subpoenaed by Georgia Republicans, ostensibly forcing her to testify under oath before the state Senate to address allegations of misconduct in the Trump RICO case.

As Georgia Senator Greg Dolezal said on X in reaction to the news, “We’ll see you soon madam D.A.”

Gulp!

Plenty more reaction poured in as well:

Some X users, however, threw some cold water on the news with legitimate concerns over our “grotesquely broken” legal system:

As was reported in September, Willis defied a subpoena to attend a Black Caucus event in D.C. Time will tell if the latest court ruling will force her to comply.

“We believe the ruling is wrong and will appeal,” Roy Barnes who is representing Willis told the Associated Press.

Willis has until Jan. 13th to respond to the ruling and file an appeal.
